A new drainage system is set to be installed in Mines Road as part of flood alleviation works in Laxey.
The Department of Infrastructure says its purpose is to control and direct storm water from the Snaefell Mountain Railway tracks.
Works are to start on Monday January 9 and are expected to be completed before the end of March.
Two way traffic will be maintained and temporary traffic lights used where necessary - parking on Mines Road car park will also be suspended and existing disabled parking spaces relocated closer to the Ramsey Road to facilitate works.
