Bride is to get a new captain of the parish.
Government House has announced John Teare has accepted the Lieutenant Governor's request to step into the role.
It's after William Christian stepped down last month after 44 years.
Mr Teare, who runs Ballavir Farm in Bride, will be sworn in at Government House in the coming weeks.
