Plans to build a new cafe in Port Erin at the old workshops on Orchard Road have been supported by the village commissioners.
Ashwolfe Limited lodged the application in February, and wants to convert and extend the existing buildings to house the eatery.
It’s hoped the cafe will open from 7am until 7pm and will host thirty diners in total, including eight outside, though this will vary seasonally.
The applicant also wants to employ up to six staff from the local area.
The cafe plans were discussed by Port Erin Commissioners this week (12 March) with all but one member, Marc Morley, voting to support the application.
