A new system of tracking birds has been introduced on the Calf of Man.
Around 8,000 birds are caught and ringed each year on the Calf by the wardens at the Bird Observatory.
The MOTUS tracking station uses new radio technology, which means the tagged birds don't even need to land on the Calf to have their data recorded as they pass through.
The Manx Wildlife Trust plan to create another eight Motus stations across the Island, with funding for two already secured.
The Curraghs Wildlife Park Conservation Fund have commissioned the first Motus tracking station.
