Nearly 4,000 children and family case referrals have been received in nearly five years.
The figure was revealed by Health and Social Care Minister, David Ashford, in written response to a query in the House of Keys yesterday.
Of the 3,948 cases - 290 have been documented so far during the 2018/19 period up until the end of September.
The statistics came in response to a question on the subject from Onchan MHK Julie Edge.
