The Steam Packet Company says the MV Arrow will follow the Manxman into dry dock for repairs.
A technical fault meant she couldn't sail yesterday and an oil leak's now been found in her propellor control system.
The vessel will head to Camell Lairds in Birkenhead on Sunday, August 9.
The repair work should take five days, and she's expected to resume service on Sunday, August 16.
