The Mountain Road will be closed later this month to clear up equipment after the Festival of Motorcycling.
As a result the road will be closed between Barrule Park and the Creg ny Baa Back Road on September 22nd from 9.30am until approximately 4.30pm.
The department is advising the public to find alternative routes.
