It’s understood safety concerns mean every tram on the Snaefell Mountain Railway is currently out of commission.
This morning, the Department of Infrastructure announced services have been suspended.
The trams have been at the centre of an investigation after a brake failure led to one rolling down the mountain with passengers aboard earlier this year.
Earlier, officials said “technical issues” had led to services being called off.
