Department of Infrastructure Launch Do You Have The Foggiest Campaign
The Department of Infrastructure's Road Safety Team have launched their annual lighting campaign, which this year is focusing on whether or not motorists are able to locate their fog lights.
It's operating under the strap line 'Do you have the foggiest?'.
In the last 3 years there have been 15 accidents where fog has been a contributing factor, this is a figure that the Department are keen to reduce.
Whereas the campaign is encouraging drivers to switch their fog lights on when
visibility is reduced they're also reminded to make sure they are turned off as soon as they come out of the fog as they dazzle oncoming motorists.
Inspector Mark Britton said aswell as fog lights motorists need to ensure their vehicles are maintained to a high standard to cope with all that the winter can bring.
