Motorcycle rider dies following Mountain Road crash

A motorcycle rider has died following a collision on the Mountain Road this morning.

In a statement, Police say they're continuing to deal with the incident which involved a male motorcycle rider in the area of the grandstand at the bottom of Hillberry near to the junction of Ballacottier Road.

No other vehicles were involved.

The stretch between Cronk ny Mona and the Creg ny Baa has now re-opened after being cordoned off for several hours whilst Police accident investigators were at the scene.

No further information will be released by authorities at this time.
