The Isle of Man Motor Museum wants to preserve and display the iconic TT scoreboard.
The structure on Glencrutchery Road is being replaced after being considered no longer fit for purpose, and the museum says it's in talks with government to display it at its premises in Jurby.
However, a section of the scoreboard has already been promised to Manx National Heritage which will use them as part of the future TT Gallery coming to the Manx Museum in 2022.
The motor museum says it would replicate the pieces being used by MNH, and let people know the original ones will be found at the Manx Museum.
