Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Tim Glover put forward a motion of no confidence against Chief Minister Alf Cannan.
This motion will be debated in next week's sitting of the House of Keys on Tuesday, October 29.
Mr Glover says the House has no confidence in Mr Cannan in his role.
This comes just under a week after former Health and Social Care Minister Lawrie Hooper resigned over a clash with the Chief Minister.
