Former Smiths frontman to play at Villa Marina on August 1st

One of indie music’s most iconic characters has used his website to confirm a performance at the Villa Marina over the summer.

Former Smiths front man Morrissey will be bringing his band to the Island on August 1st, performing an array of hits taken from his Smiths and solo back catalogue.

The Smiths are revered as one of the most influential bands of the past 30 years, with Morrissey’s distinctive voice and lyrical style winning him legions of fans around the world.

His performance on Island will tie in with a tour taking him all over Europe and the UK.
