The UK government says it will look at options to fund improvements at Heysham's ferry terminal to upgrade the Isle of Man route.
This week, Morecambe and Lunesdale MP met Ports Minister Lord Byron Davies at the Department of Transport in London.
He wanted to discuss possible funding options for Heysham Port to upgrade the Isle of Man Terminal, and sad the meeting had been 'productive and positive'.
Lord Davies has told his department to explore funding options, although it's not known when any possible decision might be taken.
