There's more bad weather predicted for later this afternoon - although it won't be as bad as earlier this week.
The Met Office says coastal overtopping of large waves is likely in places around the time of high tide at 3.15pm.
This will mean water and debris will hit exposed roads and promenades in Laxey, Ramsey, Douglas and Castletown.
The Department of Infrastructure has closed the Douglas Promenade walkway and cycleway today between Summerhill and Broadway.
It's to allow the clean up operation to progress after Monday's storm surge which caused extensive damage.
