More than 1,500 work days were lost in the Prison and Probation Service due to mental health factors.
That's according to the Department of Home Affairs following a Freedom of Information request.
Over the past three years, a total of 1,578 days were lost due to 'mental health and/or wellbeing attributed factors.'
No further details about the figure have been released.
