More technical issues for Manannan vessel

Technical problems have been causing major issues for the Steam Packet over the last 24 hours.

Last night's Liverpool - Isle of Man service was eventually cancelled after the passengers had waited on board for three hours.

The passengers were offloaded just before 11pm, vehicle drivers were offered space on the Heysham crossing which left at 2.15am this morning, some foot passengers were offered hotel accomodation however not all were according to online reports.

Passengers posting on social media have hit out at the Steam Packet for poor communication throughout the ordeal, with no further update as yet issued on what the 'technical issue' was.

Taking to his facebook page MHK David Cretney has vowed to contact Steam Packet management, branding it not good enough.

As a consequence of the cancellation; this morning's Isle of Man to Belfast crossing and its return have been cancelled.

Passengers can contact Steam Packet reservations on 661661 for more information.
