There are delays to the sewage treatment works for Peel and Laxey, with completion now expected in 2026.
That's according to MHK Kate Lord-Brennan, following advice from the Manx Utilities Authority.
She says the issue of Peel bay being polluted with untreated sewage remains 'the shame of the Island,' and has been for decades.
She adds that in her view, the situation has not been handled well enough, fast enough or with enough impetus from the MUA.
