Money paid to DOI for road closures falls

The Department of Infrastructure says the amount of money it was paid for road closures last year fell by more than 16 per cent.

Minister Tim Crookall gave the figures in response to a question for written reply about road closure charges.

He said price rises were being considered as the department spends time and resources considering each application.,

But he said last year the DOI was paid just under £60,000 compared to almost £72,000 the year before.
