Manx Labour Party members say they're happy at agreeing on a new deal aimed at tackling climate change.
At the party's AGM last month members voted almost unanimously to adopt a Green New Deal, which aims through investing in renewable energy and resource efficiency to make industries and economies kinder to the environment.
One of MLP's Joint Green Issues Co-ordinators, Joney Faragher, says the plan would also look to create more jobs and help stay in keeping with the Islands biosphere status.
The UK-based coalition Green New Deal Group were the first to put the plan together under that title.
