Minor Injuries closures have 'no effect' on Noble's A&E, says minister

The Island's health and social care minister says closing Ramsey's Minor Injuries Unit at weekends has had no effect on A&E at Noble's Hospital.

Claire Christian faced a question for written reply from Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper about the weekend closures.

In her response, she said Noble's had seen rising numbers arriving at the emergency department at weekends.

But she said the proportion of those coming from the north had remained unchanged.
