Michael MHK Alf Cannan has been condemned for his remarks regarding the future of the National Insurance fund.
The fund is expected to collapse in the next 20 years putting the sustainability of the state pension under serious doubt.
Mr Cannan attacked government over its handling of the situation and questioned the cost of consultants drafted in to help formulate a way ahead.
Policy and Reform Minister Chris Robertshaw thinks his comments undermine his position as chairman of the Public Accounts Committee
