Treasury Minister Alex Allinson says the government carried out an assessment before suggesting raising the minimum wage - and commissioned an independent report.
In the House of Keys this week, he faced questions from Onchan MHK Julie Edge about publishing any assessments carried out.
Dr Allinson said the government had carefully considered the issue in an review in 2023.
And he added a report a year later looked into the effects of bringing the minimum wage in line with the living wage:
