Treasury Minister Chris Thomas says government won't pay a rise of more than five per cent to pensions dating back three years.
In the House of Keys this week he faced a question from Onchan MHK Julie Edge about the rise, which wasn't paid in 2022.
Mr Thomas said the Isle of Man followed UK guidelines on the triple-lock formula which guarantees a rise in pensions each year.
But he said the issue was an important one:
