Environment Minister Clare Barber says a government blog "the rule of five" was really about buying local.
This week in the House of Keys she faced questions about her department's Climate Change Transformation Team.
She said anger about a blog post which said people could help the environment by only buying five items of clothing a year was misplaced.
And she added the advice had a wider context:
