Applicants for the latest round of the Salary Support Scheme are reminded not to make an application until they've paid their staff for the period to January 31.
Officials say it's based on confirmation by the applicant staff for which they are claiming have been paid and the business has suffered a downturn during the period.
Businesses which have already submitted a claim for Period 12 will be contacted by email after 1 February to request confirmation there are no changes to the application.
Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan MHK said: ‘I appeal to those affected to be patient and submit claims on the due date. Staff will try to process them as quickly as possible.'
