Education Minister Daphne Caine has apologised after a decision to close schools during recent snow was announced late.
In the House of Keys this week, she faced questions after her department said it would make a decision by 7am but eventually told parents some 20 minutes later.
She defended suggestions schools might have reopened later that day, saying the weather forecast suggested there might be an improvement.
But Mrs Caine said she accepted criticism about the delayed decision:
