Nearly 7 million litres of raw sewage is being pumped into Peel and Laxey Bay every day.
An FOI request, submitted by Ian Kermode, asked Manx Utilities how much raw sewage goes into Peel and Laxey Bays on a daily basis.
The response stated an estimated 2,900m3 (2.9 million litres) goes into the water at Peel, and somewhere between 1,500 and 4,000m3 (4 million litres) is pumped into Laxey Bay.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is responsible for sea water quality testing, with Laxey and Peel currently listed under non designated bathing waters.
