The government's announced Infrastructure Minister Dr Michelle Haywood has stepped down.
It's part of Chief Minister Alf Cannan's cabinet reshuffle this morning, Monday, January 19, which also saw Treasury Minster Alex Allinson leave his post, to be replaced by Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas.
Mr Cannan plans to put Peel and Glenfaba MHK Tim Crookall in Dr Haywood's role - he previously served as enterprise minister and minister without portfolio in this government.
He said over the past months "it has been clear that there have been a number of policy matters which have caused considerable friction between the Government, Tynwald and elements of our society".
The Chief Minister added: 'It is my opinion that these matters need to be addressed and can no longer be left to resolve themselves through protracted political arguments".
It comes after Dr Haywood's initiative to roll out of new 20mph speed limits around the Island faced public backlash.
