The consultation exercise into the plan to locate a GPs’ surgery at Michael Primary School has now ended.
A meeting was held for the parents and local residents chaired by Education and Children Minister Eddie Teare.
It was identified that the school building has a surplus capacity and an area could be sectioned off to make way for the surgery.
To avoid congestion it was proposed that the surgeries would not operate at times when the school’s 131 children were arriving and leaving.
The consultation yielded 78 responses; the Department will now study the views to determine what the next step forward should be.
