Minor Injury for Michael Hampers Otherwise Successful Southern 100 for Dunlop Brothers
Michael Dunlop has been taken to hospital after a crash in the Southern 100 this afternoon.
It was during the Solo Championship race, it had to be red flagged on lap 5 due to the incident..
Michael has no apparent injuries and has gone to Nobles Hospital for a precautionary check-up.
The Solo Championship will now be run in sections, both over four laps, the winner being decided on aggregate time.
Michael and brother William have upto this point enjoyed a very successful Southern 100 with 5 race wins notched between them.
Stage 9 had to be red flagged due to an oil spill on the course, the winner was announced as Alistair Howarth who was leading at the 3rd lap when the race was stopped.
