Members of Tynwald who've been suspended from the court may have to do without their expenses in future.
When the House of Keys sits next week, MHKs will consider the Payment of Members Expenses Bill 2018, backed by Graham Cregeen.
The new laws would mean any Tynwald member who's been suspended would be barred from receiving expenses payments.
The legislation has reached its clauses stage.
