The House of Keys has decided to postpone a debate which could see the Island's Lord Bishop lose their vote in parliament.
The Isle of Man Constitution Bill was discussed by MHKs earlier after amendments from Legislative Council.
Under the proposed law, the Bishop would keep their seat in Tynwald and the Legislative Council but would no longer have voting rights.
After the debate was adjourned today, the law will next be discussed by MHKs in January.
