The two MHKs for North Douglas say they have a clear idea of what they’d like to see fill the old Victoria Road prison site.
Both Bill Henderson and John Houghton have campaigned to have the prime spot redeveloped for a long time now.
A consultation has been launched this week to allow the public to have their say and for anyone putting forward a development proposal.
Bill Henderson says the North Douglas area is currently desperate for single housing units and sheltered accommodation in the public sector.
He says whatever goes ahead it must be in-keeping with the surroundings and a definite enhancement:
