Enforcement action needs to be taken against people who fail to display planning notices properly.
That's according to Douglas North MHK David Ashford who says he's concerned that the yellow site forms aren't always on show for the specified periods:
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture says where it spots a problem the planning division will delay determination until the situation has been rectified.
If the planning application has already been determined any aggrieved person would have to bring a legal challenge to the decision - Minister Geoffrey Boot says it's not a common problem:
