Michael MHK, Alf Cannan has written to all the members of Tynwald requesting a select committee be formed to investigate the Kirk Michael School land swap.
He's requesting three members form the committee to look into the finer details of the land swap, involving the local school, Heritage Homes, Pinecrest Investments and the Department of Education and Children.
The motion, tabled for February will ask for an investigation into whether the manner of the land swap negotiations were properly conducted, and whether value for money has been achieved from the deal.
Mr Cannan said 'it is imperative that matters of public finance are handled professionally in order to ensure that the taxpayer is receiving maximum value for money.'
