An Ayre and Michael MHK will be asking Tynwald to review government catering services to check if they're shopping local.
It follows investigation by Tim Baker - he's became concerned that catering services for some areas, including the hospital and schools, aren't buying stock from Manx producers.
He wants to ensure 'budgeting and procurement policies' appropriately reflect the economic multiplier effects which arise from shopping locally.
