Ramsey MHK Alex Allinson says it's impossible to say exactly how much assisted dying will cost until new laws are passed.
In the House of Keys this week, he faced questions from Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas about the price of the service.
Dr Allinson said because the new laws were still under discussion, no exact figure could be given yet.
He revealed the details could be worked out once it was decided how assisted dying would be offered:
