Up to £2.5-million in tax revenue could be raised by introducing a policy to legalise cannabis sales and production.
That's according to figures put together by Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson in Tynwald yesterday.
He'd asked Treasury Minister, Alf Cannan, if his department had calculated the potential tax revenue that could be generated by a policy to legalise the class B substance.
However, Mr Cannan said that his department had not drawn up figures on the subject.
