An MHK is questioning whether the government is doing enough to ease the cost of school uniforms for families.
Douglas East MHK Joney Faragher asked the Department of Education, Sport and Culture what plans it has to reduce costs, especially for PE kits.
In response, the department said it provides guidance, but responsibility for uniform policies lies with individual schools.
Ms Faragher is now inviting parents to share whether they believe schools are considering affordability and offering value for money.
