Ronaldsway Met Office says a yellow weather warning remains in place in the face of hail and snow showers.
The warning runs until 3pm on Thursday, after snow closed the Mountain Road and some other routes earlier today.
Forecasters say hail or snow showers will continue this, evening and overnight, with up to two inches falling on higher ground above 700 ft.
Tomorrow morning, clear skies will see temperatures to drop close to zero, bringing icy patches.
