A man from Merseyside who targeted motorbikes on their way to the TT has been jailed for eight months.
22-year-old Sean Johnson of Wavertree Road in Liverpool was arrested in May as UK officers carried out an operation to catch motorbike thieves in the runup to the festival.
He was jailed for 32 weeks at Liverpool Crown Court last week, after being charged with driving whilst disqualified, handling stolen goods, having no insurance, possessing a knife and breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order.
In a post on Facebook, the Merseyside force welcomed the sentence.
