The founder of a new mental health charity has won Douglas Council's community champion award.
Shirely Cain set up Ed Space after the loss of her brother Eddie Joyce to suicide.
The local authority says the awards were particularly poignant as Eddie was a former councillor in the capital.
Meanwhile the young hero award went to Logan Connor of Cronk-y-Berry Primary, who leads the school's litter picking buddies group.
