Men due in court following major drugs seizure

Two males will appear in court today following a massive seizure of Cannabis in Douglas on Friday of last week.

Cannabis with a street value of £123,000 was found in the area of the car park at Lord Street Bus Station, by officers assisted by Drugs Detection Dog, Alfie.

One of the males was a 43 year old from Douglas, and the other a 39 year old Liverpool man, both were charged with a number of offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

This is a second large seizure of drugs within the last few weeks by the Pro Active Team, and is recorded as the Island’s second largest ever single seizure of Cannabis.
