A volunteer member of Douglas RNLI is taking part in a lifeboat crew exchange programme.
The International Maritime Rescue Federation organise the annual programme, which has been running since 2012 for search and rescue teams across Europe.
Local volunteer Emily Heaton is spending the week in The Netherlands to spend time with the Dutch equivalent of the RNLI.
The aim is to share knowledge and learning, exposing crews to different training methods and experiences, to improve the Search and Rescue maritime response for organisations taking part.
