Michael Constituents to Have Voices Heard at Meeting into Possibility of Wind Farm Along Coast of Ballaugh and Jurby.
A public meeting will be held tonight to discuss the potential for establishing an on-shore Wind Farm along the coast of Ballaugh and Jurby.
UK natural energy company Ocean Electric Power has put the proposal forward after conducting lengthy research into the viability of having a facility in that area.
Early feedback would indicate that the proposal would meet fierce opposition from locals who would consider it a major eyesore on the Manx Countryside, with many preferring the option of a Wave Hub station to utilize tidal power.
Tonights meeting will get underway at 7.30pm at Ballaugh Parish Hall for all of the Michael constituents, Chief Executive Chris Bale will be on hand to answer any questions.
