A public meeting takes place this evening to discuss the protection of historical crosses in Maughold.
The requisition meeting will focus on crosses dating from the sixth to the 13th century which are currently housed at a shelter at Kirk Maughold Church.
Commissioners in the parish say, for some years now, it's been acknowledged the crosses need to be protected from deterioration and displayed in a way much more in keeping with their status.
Commissioners and Manx National Heritage will be part of tonight's meeting at Maughold Church Hall at 7.30pm and members of the public are being encouraged to attend and share their views on the matter.
