The pavement on May Hill in Ramsey is set to be resurfaced.
The Department of Infrastructure will start work on Monday for around two weeks, with parking not permitted in the area throughout.
Works will focus on the path on the western side of the road, from above Maycroft Terrace to the junction of Vernon Road.
This may extend down Queen's Pier Road to the entrance of the Coronation Park.
Temporary traffic lights will be used, with some road closures also in place.
