A Derbyshire man has been found guilty of causing the death of a retained firefighter from Ramsey.
The seven-strong jury returned the verdict against 51-year-old James Ricketts at Douglas Courthouse this morning.
The Matlock man had denied carelessly driving on the Laxey to Ramsey Coast Road near Bulgham Rocks on August 6th last year.
He was making a three point turn in the road when motorcyclist Neil Walker crashed into him - the 43-year-old died at the scene.
The case has now been adjourned for sentencing.
