Castletown Commissioners is to open up some parking next week in Market Square following feedback from the public and traders.
The authority had originally decided to close the section until September, but have announced from Noon on Tuesday (April 23) it will be available again for the marked spaces on The George Hotel side.
Officials have added it's not a permanent arrangement and the area will close to traffic as normal for events.
Commissioners have been working with the Department of Infrastructure on a long term parking and traffic management strategy for the town.
